The latest addition, and now a cornerstone of the SO-CAL family of chassis components, is our forged dropped axle. SO-CAL’s engineering staff spent the better part of three years refining a design that takes into account the idiosyncrasies of a reproduction part that must first work with original Ford components.

Martin Nooney's 1932 CoupeSO-CAL Speed Shop: Steve Ferrell 1932 Roadster
Check out Martin Nooney’s 1932 chopped full fendered coupe completed just in time for its debut at the Grand National Roadster Show. The car got more than a few looks from the huge crowd on hand as it took home a class trophy in the altered street coupe category. This beauty is ready for delivery and Martin couldn’t be more excited.

Indy SpeedsterSO-CAL Speed Shop: Bill Lindig | Indy Speedster
Anyone who’s been around hot rodding for the past 15 years has most likely seen or heard about Jackie Howerton’s aluminum bodied track roadster. Better known as the “Indy Speedster” it is considered by most to be one of, if not THE, finest hot rod ever built. Long time friend and SO-CAL customer Bill Lindig, shown in this photo, purchased the project and commissioned our car shop to finish the car for its debut at the 2010 Grand National Roadster Show.

Emerson Glazer's '33 SedanSO-CAL Speed Shop: Emerson Glazer's 1933 Tudor
The 2 1/2" chop on Emerson Glazer's sedan is complete. As you can see from the photos the top was executed perfectly by our pals the Kennedy Bros. The car is currently in the body and paint stage.

The Mystery Coupe SO-CAL Speed SHop: Jim Kipp Model A
The Mystery Coupe is alive! The car was revealed to Debra Kipp as a surprise 50th birthday gift from her husband and SO-CAL friend, Jim Kipp. It also made it's debut at the 2009 Grand National Roadster Show where it was equally recieved with applause.

John Devine's 1955 F100 SO-CAL Speed Shop: John Devine's 1956 Truck
When we first met John Devine he was looking to build a mild pick up truck but instead his '66 Chevelle "Supercar" was put on the front burner. Once the Chevelle was finished he brought his '55 Ford F100 back out for the SO-CAL crew to do their magic. This local hauler is powered by a big block Ford and is close to being painted by SO-CAL's own Mick Jenkins in a subtle "Sea Foam" green offset with a black top.

Tom Lieb's 1929 Hiboy roadster
SO-CAL Speed Shop: Tom Lieb 1929 Roadster Owner Tom Lieb and SO-CAL fabricator Jimmy Shine put their wild imaginations together to come up with one cool '29 roadster. With all hand made pieces this hiboy is definitely one for the ages.

Bob Anderson's 1934 Coupe
SO-CAL Speed Shop: Bob Anderson 1934 Coupe Bob Anderson brought his black primered '34 coupe to us with a certain goal in mind; make it resemble one of his favorite hot rods of all time. From the looks of the finished product we think he will be more than satisfied with the result.

Tom Tomlinson's 1932 roadster
SO-CAL Speed Shop: Tom Tomlison 1932 Roadster In the beginning stages is Tom Tomlinson's full fendered '32 roadster. The car features our complete line of chassis components and Brookville body and fenders.
